Help give voice to the growing number of independents in America!

Our Current Situation

Long lasting solutions from our government within a fixed duopoly are increasingly rare. The American government intended to be “of the people, by the people, and for the people” has been replaced with leaders focused on tribalism and disagreement.

Party loyalty supersedes service, innovation, trust and education - even reforms that allow for open primaries and greater choice at the ballot box (nonplurality voting). Our democracy is facing serious challenges, yet these continue to be ignored for the sake of reelection while the growing number of independent voters are unrepresented and unserved.

45% of U.S. voters who now identify as independents need a voice at the table. Every generation is more independent than the one that came before (56% of Gen Z voters identify as independents).

The Case for Independent Leadership

Henry Ford said, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”

America wants representatives who can serve the people and work together to bring the best solution to the table. Without fear of being “primaried” or losing resources or endorsements.

The movement for independent leadership is a collection of efforts and organizations working toward a common vision and it is vast and actionable. The Good Party (not a party) helped 11 candidates outside of the two major parties to win in 2023 and 3,120 in 2024. Several states have capable and experienced leaders running as independents for Governor this year. Dan Osborne ran for U.S. Senate in Nebraska as an independent and was narrowly defeated; he’s running again. The group Independent Veterans of America have 17 endorsed candidates on their website and their leader, Paul Reickhoff, is featured on major news organizations. The organization Open Primaries is actively circulating a “Declaration of Independence” to assert voting rights for the millions of independent voters locked out of partisan primaries. The group Independent Center is bringing independent minded leaders together from across the country and producing data that validates the need for independent leadership. And there’s more…
